Welcome to my website.

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Yan Min Sévénier.  I was born in China and have lived in France since the year 2000.  I am a professor of Fine Arts and hold a doctorate.  I began painting at the age of 12 and use a variety of techniques in my work:  drawing, traditional Chinese style painting, watercolors, gouache, oil based painting, and acrylics in order to display my figurative style.

I address various themes in my works: portraits and landscapes, employing differing scales (painting on different non-traditional media). I paint on canvas, paper, and transparent films and sheets.

I have created a certain technique of fine art in order to represent the figurative in the real world.  I strive to use my talents to reflect the beauty of the creator of heaven and earth, through the transmission of the colors of the rainbow.  I invite you to join with me in using the arts to create a connection between the real and imagined worlds, in a spirit of love and harmony.
